Name: Jermaine Coble

Classification: Senior

Why I want to be Mr. FSU: I’ve long admired the young men who have reigned as, or even competed, for the title of Mr. Fayetteville State University. In this long hall of tradition, I hope to lay my wreath as a testament to the brand of servant and student leadership that I’ve grown to know and love about the university. I honestly love everything that FSU is, but I am enthralled with what we, as Broncos, have the potential to become.

Name: Ronald Anthony (Tony) Nelson Jr.

Classification: Junior

Why I want to be Mr. FSU: I am running for the position of Mr. FSU because I feel I embody what it truly means to be a Bronco. I am strong leader who keeps God first and strives for excellence in all things transcending the ordinary to extraordinary. As Mr.FSU, I would continue to lead by example and set the standard for all Broncos blazing a trail for success and prosperity with integrity as an ambassador on and off campus.

Name: Ervin Tyrone Brinkley

Classification: Senior

Why I want to be Mr. FSU: I’m seeking the position of Mr. Fayetteville State University not for personal recognition or social status, but because I feel my leadership, communication, dedication, and along with other personal attributes are direct contributors to the standards set in place to be the best candidate for the position. I feel the best representation for the school is a proudly grown product of the school, which I feel I am.

Name: Christopher Williams Jr.

Classification: Senior

Why I Want to be Mr. FSU: Every since I was branded a Bronco at Fayetteville State University, I wanted to be a walking representation of this University’s best, so I indulged myself in the culture and pride. To me, the attraction is not about the title of Mr. Fayetteville State University, but rather to the mission as a role model responsible for promoting a positive university and student body image.

Name: Troy Pickens

Classification: Senior

Why I want to be Mr. FSU: As a student leader who has worked hard to gain the respect and admiration of my peers, I feel that being Mr. FSU will allow me to serve as an example of the type of quality young men this great university has and produces. While I can never repay FSU for all it has done for me, serving in the capacity as Mr. FSU will enable me to give a small token back to the institution that has given me so much.
